I.C. RAPOPORT was born in The Bronx, New York
Attended public schools including School of Industrial Arts (Art & Design). Attended Ohio University, studied photography under Clarence White. Assisted fashion photographer Robert Randall and LIFE photographer Nina Leen. Apprenticed as photojournalist for (PARIS-MATCH MAGAZINE) New York Bureau. Drafted into U.S. Army during John F. Kennedy administration, stationed in Pentagon and White House as military photographer – photographed Special Warfare Center/Special Forces (Green Berets) as they were created.
Worked as photojournalist for PARIS-MATCH, Saturday
Evening Post, LIFE, TIME, Newsweek, National Geographic, etc.
Sold first screenplay to Palomar Pictures/Edgar J. Scherick.
Began career as screen/television writer.
First feature produced: TO KILL A CLOWN starring Alan Alda & Blythe Danner
